Our Mobility Clinics

  • Twice yearly or on demand The New Zealand Lions Child Mobility Foundation holds Mobility Clinics in the main centres where children  that have been referred are assessed to see if a Hart Walker will be suitable for their situation. If so, they are measured, and depending on funding availability, a walker is ordered by CMF.
  • At a later clinic when the Hart Walker arrives it is adjusted to fit the child. Subsequently every six months the child attends a clinic and adjustments for growth are made.

At the Mobility Clinics children and parents are hosted by local
Lions Clubs who provide a friendly welcome, often after long                       journeys and supply refreshments and snacks to sustain them.
COVID-19 STOP PRESS:- Clinics in main centres on hold, but a clinic was held in Dunedin October 31st with children and caregivers transported by CMF to be brought up to date with treatments and Hart Walker adjustments.
